Most of you old car buffs probably know what everything in this car does but I'll bet if you ever asked one of today's drivers to take a car like this for a spin they may not know how to run this thing.

So here's a history lesson...

First of all back then there were no automatic transmissions a lot of today's drivers only know how to drive automatics. Another thing they'd probably ask is what is that other stick beside the shifter? Is it a clutch? Is it another shifter? No it's an emergency brake. Back then anti-lock didn't exist. I've also heard that that emergency brake can be a pain in the butt sometimes getting stuck sometimes not engaging. Also another thing it's take some time to get used to the wooden floors now eventhough that isn't much of a difference just looking at them may make some of the drivers of today who have never seen them flip out. Then there's the handling and did I mention that this car has wooden wheels with motorcycle like tires. Basically many of today's drivers would have to learn how to drive all over again to get used to the demmands of these classic cars.

The thing was in it's time it was a big improvement and still today is better than walking.

I can drive a stick. :D I had some good motivation to learn how to start out on a hill without stalling or rolling back.
